Run by a group of women volunteers, Comedor Infantil Cala Cala provides daily lunches to over 250 children under the age of 12. The children are selected by a social worker who ensures that the low income qualification is met. These children also receive free tutoring after school and are encouraged to participate in workshops to learn first aid, theater, and social skills. The center has a small library with some learning games. Jointly with the Church of Cala Cala they run a first aid center, a dental center and an eye center which has saved the sight of many children.
